Wilean “Trudy, Tootie” Dawsen Bulloch, 89, was born on January 26, 1932 in Rembert, South Carolina to the late Mabel Dawson and William Bradford. Wilean attended the Providence School System and worshipped at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina. She moved to New Jersey in her twenties and worked throughout her years as a seamstress. Wilean later worked for The Lodge in Neptune, New Jersey where she retired. She was affectionately called “Grandma” to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Her home was always open to anyone who needed her love and compassion. Everyone loved her home cooking, especially her mac and cheese and banana pudding. It warmed her heart for people near and far to enjoy her famous “Ices”! She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and cook outs on the “S” Block.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Lenten Bulloch, 3 daughters, Kathryn Lambert, Dorothy Gatson and Lisa Keith, and 2 stepsons, Mitchell, and Dexter Bulloch.
In her transition she leaves us to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Linda Harris (James M.) of Rembert, SC, and son, Len Bulloch (Tracey) Howell, NJ, 2 step-children, Elliott Bulloch and Toni Thompson, god-daughters, LaLa Tapley, Terry and Rachel Bradford, 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren, 1 aunt, Earlene Dawson Swann of Rembert, SC, 2 sisters; Leola Bradford of Washington, DC, and Marie Williams of Neptune, NJ; 3 sisters-in-law, Gertrude Bulloch of Asbury Park, NJ, Edna Mae Moore of Philadelphia, PA, and Eloise Hill of Lanier, GA, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
