Tia Michelle Newkirk

Tia Michelle Newkirk, 56, of Neptune, NJ departed this life on Wednesday July 21,2021. She was born in Neptune, NJ on May 17, 1965, to Willie Mae Newkirk and the late Johnnie Daniels.

Tia held several CNA positions throughout her life, but her passion was volunteering at Morning Glory Behavioral Health, Neptune, NJ. She was also a member of Macedonia Church, Neptune, NJ.

Everyone that generally knew Tia knew she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. She enjoyed fashion, playing cards, doing arts and crafts and took pride in spending quality time with her granddaughters Chayce and Damani.

Tia was predeceased by her brother, Terrelle Daniels, maternal grandparents, Virginia and Willie Newkirk, paternal grandparents, Mary and Isiah Daniels, Sr., beloved aunt and uncle, Virgie and Stevenson Newkirk, stepfather, Joseph Powell, stepsister, Kelly Cooley, cousins, Vone Newkirk, and Nadirah Weston.

She leaves behind to mourn her mother, Willie Mae Blue, daughters, Rhea and Wileya Newkirk, Neptune, NJ, granddaughters, Chayce and Damani Newkirk, Neptune, NJ, sisters, Jennifer and Tameka Daniels, Newark, NJ, step grandmother, Annie Graham, nieces, Jasmine Harrell, Newark, NJ, Tyler Coley, Newark, NJ, nephews, Kyree Daniels, Newark, NJ, and Andre Coley, Newark, NJ, cousins, Tameika Williams, Myshawn and Sarny Thomas, Asbury Park, NJ, bonus daughter and granddaughter, Ashley and Zariyah Stevens, special friends, Bobbi, Andrews-Morgan, Wand Ricks, Debbie Walker, Nicole Butler, Randall Harris, Randy Smith, and “Cousin” Shawn Clark, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
