Teresa Ann Poli, 60, of Forked River, NJ passed away following a lengthy illness on August 12, 2020. She was born on November 6, 1959 in Perth Amboy, NJ to John and Louise Hagler. Teresa was their first born.
She received her formal education in the Perth Amboy public school system and graduated from Rahway High School. Teresa attended Middlesex County College, Edison, NJ and became a licensed practical nurse.
In 1984 Teresa married the love of her life, Edward “Eddie” Poli. There were 3 children born of their marriage. After the passing of her husband, “Eddie”, Teresa enjoyed her life with her children. She traveled throughout the United States and abroad with her mother Suffragan Bishop Louise Hagler, and sister, Chaplain (MAJ) Denise Hagler. She enjoyed cooking, as well as fund raising for her Future Glory of Zion Church. She will be sorely missed.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sister, Cassandra; and father, Suffragan Bishop John Hagler.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children, Tela Davis (Leon), Eddie Poli, Jr., and Elisha Poli; 5 grandchildren, Tyquan, Zariah, Tianna, Lela and Harmony; mother, Suffragan Bishop Louise M. Hagler; sisters, Chaplain (MAJ) Denise Hagler, and Darlene (Tony) Dorsey; brother, John L (Dionne) Hagler; a host of nieces, nephews, her Future Glory of Zion Church family, other relatives and friends.
