Sharon Butler, 63, of Asbury Park, NJ, gained her wings peacefully at home on January 1, 2022. She was born on April 17, 1958 to the late Carol Butler and William Clark Sr.
Sharon found the lord at an early age. She grew up attending her family's church, St. Peter Claver. Sharon worked as a home health aide and an environmental service aide for many years before becoming ill. She also enjoyed taking part as the family nanny for her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sharon loved reading, doing her scratch-offs and sudoku puzzles, and watching her favorite classic TV shows. She loved to cook, and was loved and known for her famous potato salad and chicken and noodles.
She was also known for throwing the best house parties back in the day. Everyone who attended was guaranteed to have a good time. Sharon was known for her dance moves. Once her favorite song, “The Freaks Come Out at Night," came on, everyone knew to clear the floor because it was about to go down!
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Carol Butler and William Clark, Sr., sister, Janet Wharton, nephews, Tyrelle Wharton, and Prize Johnson, aunts, Beverly Massie, and Gail Bonner, and uncle, John Butler.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Rhashawna Butler, grandson, God Allah, son in law, God Davis, three sisters, Torie Butler, Nicole Henderson (Eric), and Marnina Martin, four brothers, William Clark Jr. (Lorretta), Jaszhark Allah (Delores), IBorn Clark (Karen), and Ray Copeland, two aunts, Florence Moore, and Karen Smerdon, godson, Jeremy Johnson, goddaughter, Theresa Jackson, honorary son, Ja’air Butler, honorary nephew, Ravon Nash, honorary grandson, Aamar Covin, honorary granddaughter, Sha’yea Allen, special nieces, Kyle Butler, and Tyonna Prince, a niece who was more like her daughter, Latoria Butler (Hadia and Hasson Crooms), two honorary sisters, Estella Hines, and Karen Thompson, special friends, Rose Marie Clayton, and Wanda Modeste, and a very special cousin, Rita Simmons.
One thing about Sharon and her sister, Janet was that they knew how to spoil their nieces and nephews. Janet the nephews, and Sharon the nieces, Jah’zai Rodgers, Ny’Airah Butler, D’Azjanae Allah, and Bianca Holmes, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends will be left to cherish her memories.
