Osma A. Bey, 58, of Asbury Park, NJ, passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ on Monday, September 7, 2020. He was born in Neptune, NJ on November 19, 1961 to the late Edwin Coleman and Elizabeth Toran. He was the youngest of eight children.
Osma resided in Asbury Park for most of his adult life. He graduated from Asbury Park High School. Later in his adult life he decided to further his education and received his Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ.
Osma was a great influencer within the community at an early age in his life. Some of his biggest and most productive accomplishments were boxing, educating, and providing for his family. He was a leader and provided many with knowledge of the self.
Osma will be remembered for his kind heart. He was a devoted husband, great father, grandfather, caring brother, father in law, uncle, and trusting friend.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Coleman of Asbury Park, NJ; three children, Timika Johnson Austin of Neptune, NJ, Self Master Johnson of Keansburg, NJ, and Syasia Kendle of Neptune, NJ; sister, Patricia Coleman of Neptune, NJ; son in laws, Jerome “Devine” Austin and Josh Kendle; grandchildren, Banir Worthy, Kayla Kendle, Hassan Worthy, Damier Austin, Laila Kendle, Jaden Austin, Jordan Kendle and Janiya Austin; nephews, Daris Coleman, Eddie Coleman, Damian Coleman and Donnell Coleman; niece, Desiree Coleman; and a host of relatives and friends.
