Obituary

On August 24th, 2023, Octavius Wallace was in a fatal car accident where he was hit by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, this led to the passing of Octavius.

Octavius was one of four children and his mother's only son, better known as "TayTay" / "Tay" to family and friends. He was born and raised in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Due to Octavius wanting to create a better life for not only himself, his mother, and remaining sisters, he moved to South Carolina in hopes of working and being able to buy a house for his family. Octavius's mother's health took a turn for the worse. He was called back home to attend to the needs of his mother and sisters. Octavius deemed his presence of extreme importance and dropped everything he was establishing in South Carolina to provide 100% of his time to his family.

On May 25th, just 3 months after his arrival he lost his mother to a massive heart attack. After losing his mother Octavius took full responsibility for his remaining siblings in Delaware. He wasn't really feeling at home in Delaware because his sole purpose was to take care of his mother. Octavius moved back to New Jersey where the majority of his family and friends are and decided to make his mark and gain employment to support himself and his siblings.

Happy to be accomplishing the goals set out for himself, on August 24, 2023, Octavius wanted to treat some family members to dinner. On his way home from dinner, Octavius was killed by a drunk driver who was speeding and ran directly into the vehicle that Octavius was a passenger of. Octavius was a very nice, humble, and passionate person and made it clear to the people that he would come across. Our family has experienced two major losses in a matter of 3 months.
