Mildred Solomon was born on October 23, 1941 in Roper, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late West and Estelle Swain.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great grandmother and good friend. She was known for her warm smile, gentle demeanor and unwavering genorsity. She shared from her garden, prepared and served delicious meals to her family and community. Her homemade biscuits, fried chicken and coconut cakes were legendary!
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Willie Jackson, Sayreville New Jersey, Jimmy Solomon, Freehold New Jersey and Lorenzo Solomon, Toms River, New Jersey. Five daughters, Carol Brown (James) Lakewood New Jersey, Mildred Tanner, Lakewood New Jersey, Linda Jackson, Lakewood New Jersey, Alice Morris (Keith) Randallstown Maryland, and Jeanette Jackson-Prince, Camden New Jersey. Two brothers, William Earl Swain (Betty) Roper North Carolina and William Wesley Swain, Asbury Park New Jersey. Two sisters, Daisy King, Lakewood New Jersey and Shirley Nixion (Robert) Roper North Carolina. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
