Lynette Rose Olds ,74 of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born on March 7,1947 to Anna and William Johnson.
Lynette attended Lakewood High School and worked for a number of companies until she was hired by Nabisco in 1972. At Nabisco she was promoted to a variety of responsible positions over the next 30 years until she retired.
Nette, as she was affectionately known, met and married Bernard Brown. Through this union they had Lucretia “Bug”, Nettes only child.
Nette was an avid sports fan. Her favorite sports to watch were tennis, football, and basketball. She loved to watch Michael Jordan and the Bulls. She rarely missed watching the Williams sisters play tennis.
Nette also loved to travel and visited many countries throughout Europe. Perhaps her greatest passion was being present for anyone who needed her. Family, friends, and acquaintances found comfort in the gifts of her heart.
Nette was predeceased by her mother, Anna Yates, father, William Johnson, daughter, Lucretia Brown, brother, Joseph Woolfolk, and sister, Cindy Woolfolk.
She is survived by her brother, Major Finklin, Jr. of Toms River, NJ; sisters, Gwendolyn Brown of Lakewood, NJ, Renie Wright of Manahawkin, NJ, Eyvonne Klink of Tampa, FL, Michelle Finklin of Conyers, GA, Josette Woolfolk of West Palm Beach, FL, and Duwana Johnson of Newark, NJ, grandson, Byron Watson of Philadelphia, PA, and a host of relatives and friends.
