Louise F. Holley, 78, of Willingboro, New Jersey passed away on November 23, 2019. She was born on July 24, 1941, to Eugenia Crocket and Benjamin Fitzpatrick in Chesson, Alabama.
Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 9 at Day Street Baptist Church, Montgomery Alabama. She rededicated her life at the age of 16 at Weeping Willow Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama.
Louise graduated from Booker T. Washington High School as Valedictorian and received an Alabama State College scholarship. She moved to New Jersey at age 18 to find work. While working, she attended and graduated from the following schools, Ocean County College (Associate Degree), Georgian Court College (Bachelor’s Degree), Monmouth Bible Institute (Certificate), and Rutgers University (Masters Degree in Social Work). She retired from the State of New Jersey as a Social Worker and was chosen as the Social Worker of the year.
Louise met and married John R. Johnson, in 1961 and from that union, they had two boys and one girl. Louise was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Lakewood, NJ for over 60 years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, Usher, and served on many boards and committees.
She recently moved her membership to Bethany Baptist Church, Lindenwold NJ after moving to Willingboro, NJ to be close to her daughter and other family members. She loved to praise and worship God, serve in the ministry, send words of encouragement, cards, and letters to those who crossed her path. One of her passions was to share her pound cakes.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eugenia Crocket and Benjamin Fitzpatrick; brother, Norman (Chuck) Cheeks; and god daughter, Ruby Pair.
Louise is survived by her 3 children, Leonard Maurice (Aimee) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Juné Renee (Gary) of Willingboro, NJ, and Michael Lamonte (Vicki) of Mansfield, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Gary, Jr., Junéah, Jaren (Gabrielle), Lauren, Garon, Zayne, Zahna, Zyon, Zoelle, and Miles; 10 great grandchildren, Zariyah, Zakharie, Josiah, Eli, Genesis, Zion, Juelz, Solomon, Isiah, and Camron; 7 siblings, Leonard Cheeks, Janice Milton (John), Fredrick Cheeks, Edward Cheeks, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Thomas Fitzpatrick, and Patricia Jones; step mother, Jeanette Fitzpatrick; god family, the Ingram Family; 4 god children, Gregory Earl, Shaneen Worthy, Louwanna Harris, and Alicia Copeland; and a host of relatives and friends.
