Joyce Yvonne Watson

Joyce Yvonne Watson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 12, 2024. Born in Gainesville, Florida, Joyce was the cherished only child of the late Robert and Yvonne Lane.

Joyce dedicated many years of her life to the care and service of others, retiring from John L. Montgomery Nursing & Rehab. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on her colleagues and those she cared for.

Joyce is survived by her four loving children: Tony, Donna, Paul and Cheresa Young. She was a proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren and a devoted great-grandmother to a host of great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She found great enjoyment in playing bingo at Silver Vista where she resided for 15 years and watching her favorite television shows, The Price Is Right and Law & Order. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her children’s father, Willie H.R Young Jr., and her grandchildren, Princess, Fre’Yonna, Fre’Son, and Qua’Asia Young. The memory of these precious souls will forever be held close to her heart.

Joyce Yvonne Watson leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
