Minister John H. Milton, 71, transitioned to be with the Lord on October 18, 2021. He was born in Prichard, AL on June 19, 1950 to the late James E. and Mary E. Milton.
John attended the Lakewood Public Schools, Lakewood, NJ. He worked various jobs in the automotive field. In his last job John was employed as a driver with Preferred Behavioral Health, Lakewood, NJ for 16 years. John had a deep love of cars of all kinds. He enjoyed working on them, towing and selling them.
John loved to preach and teach the word of God to all who would listen. He attended Monmouth Bible Institute in Farmingdale, NJ for four years. He last attended church at Abundant Grace Family Restoration Ministries, Trenton, NJ for 13 years.
John leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Janice Milton, two children, a daughter, Monica L. Milton, Midlothian, VA, and a son, John E. Milton, Lakewood, NJ, three brothers, James (Renette) Milton, Whiting, NJ, Robert (Cheryl) Milton, Henrico, VA, Charles (Angela) Milton, Wake Forest, NC, two sisters, Mary A. Milton, VA, and Mae Milton, Varina, VA, two brothers-in-law, Leonard Cheeks, Farmington, MI, and Frederick Cheeks, Montgomery, AL, five grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
