Eunice Medrano (nicknamed Nonota by her husband), was born on May 7, 1944 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Rumaldo Marte and Clemenia Veras. She passed away on September 12, 2020.
Eunice met Virgilio Medrano, a good friend of the family, in the Dominican Republic. Virgilio fell in love with her. They were married in New York City on May 10, 1963.
Eunice’s favorite hobby was shopping. She loved shopping so much that at times when she had “no” money, she would go “window shopping". She was a hairdresser until she retired.
Eunice was baptized as one of Jehovah ’s Witnesses on May 10, 1977 with her husband, Virgilio. She was also an Auxiliary Pioneer for many years. Eunice was a member of the Newport News Spanish Congregation in Newport News, Virginia.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Virgilio Medrano. She is survived by her 4 children, Ranses Medrano, Ivelty Medrano, Bernis Medrano, and Yeraida Medrano; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, Nelson Marte, Frank Marte, Ruben Marte, Winston Marte and Vinicio Marte; and a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives, and many friends.
