Elver M. Durden

Elver M. Durden, 92, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away in her home on Saturday, April 20, 2019.  She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 26, 1926 to Clem Richard and Irene Brogdon.

Elver was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Tabernacle Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey.  She was married to George Durden in Neptune, New Jersey in 1977.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clem Richard and Irene Brogdon; husband, George Durden; brothers, Stanfield, Marion, Clem Richard, William, and Lawrence Brogdon; sisters, Doreatha Lipscomb and brother-in-law, M. C. Lipscomb, and Atabell Owens.

Elver is survived by her sister, Margo Purdy; brother, Al Brogdon; nieces and nephews, Evonne, Catherine, Jacalyn, Jerry Lipscomb and his wife, Audrey; stepchildren, George, Jr., Ronald, and Patricia Durden; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
