Donna Marie Shearn

Donna M. Shearn, age 65, of Toms River, NJ passed away in her home on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was born on August 1,1956 in Paterson, NJ to Joseph and Marie Shearn.  

She was a graduate of Passaic County Tech Institution. Donna was a lifelong resident of Toms River, NJ. She was a long-time usher board member of Second Baptist Church of Toms River. 

Donna was a free spirit who loved to dance, bowl, read and swim. She will be remembered by her great sense of fashion and infectious laugh. Donna was recognized in every room that she entered as the life of the party. Many will remember her comforting greeting “Hey Boo!” along with a big hug, as she loved to love on people. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Marie and Joseph C. Shearn, Sr of Toms River, NJ; brother, Joseph C. Shearn Jr. of Durham, NC; uncles, James Gillian of Mount Vernon, NY, Charles (Francine) Shearn of Conway, SC, and Samuel (Bernice) Gillian Jr. of Bronx, NY; Carson (Joan) Shearn of Paterson, NJ; Louis (Ethel) Shearn of Paterson, NJ and Robert (Florence) Shearn Jr. of Paterson, NJ; and aunt, Anna Taliaferro of Virginia Beach, VA

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Samia M. Shearn of Toms River, NJ; niece, Stephanie D. Brown-Walker of Toms River, NJ; great niece, Laila M. Walker of Toms River, NJ; aunt, Jean Gillian of Conway, SC; Agnes (MacArthur) Sumter of Florence, SC; Grace (Alfred) Sumpter of Florence, SC; Ella Gregory of Cumberland, VA; uncles, Alan (Ruth) Gillian of Woodbridge, VA; Mark (Joanne) Shearn of Cumberland, VA; Herman (Carol) Shearn of Cumberland, VA; Lester (Kathy) Shearn of Paterson, NJ; Ellis (Betty) Shearn of Paterson, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
