It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clara G. Moore, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Clara, 67, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, passed away on January 27, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Shirley A. Moore and James H. Moore.
Clara was a pillar of the Asbury Park community for many decades. She worked for the Asbury Park Housing Authority for years, building meaningful relationships and positively impacting the lives of those around her. A woman of hard work, humor, and no-nonsense strength, Clara was also known for her warm heart and commitment to helping others, especially the children in her community. She loved hosting cookouts, listening to music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Clara’s green thumb was unmatched, and she took great pride in tending to her Plant Babies.
In addition to her family, Clara’s longtime partner, Willie R. Farley, who predeceased her, held a special place in her heart. Clara’s legacy will live on in the many lives she touched, her children’s laughter, and the memories of her loving spirit
Clara was preceded in death by her sisters, Lorraine Westbrook, Cynthia Moore, and her brother, James F. Moore. Clara leaves behind her three children, Tihisia M. Jubilee, Kyrie T. Moore Sr., and TeKeira L. Farley. She was the proud mother-in-law of Davis G. Jubilee and Sharnette Moore. Clara’s love for her family extended to her eight grandchildren: TeKeiva Farley, TyDaiza Jubilee, Dessiah Moore, Kyrie Moore Jr., Dante Moore, Keishai Moore, Dymond Moore, and Tristan King, and three great-grandchildren: Kiyan Stevens, KaSai Stevens, and Royal Anderson, and her goddaughter, Sayiddah Bowens. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon Moore and Deborah Westbrook, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her love and strength.
