Bridges Henderson, Jr., 87, of Neptune, NJ passed away on November 4, 2021 at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. He was born in Toms River, NJ on March 20, 1934 to Bridges Henderson, Sr. and Artelia Henderson.
Bridges moved to Asbury Park, NJ at a very young age and attended the school system. He enlisted in the United States Army after graduating from high school and served as a paratrooper in the airborne unit. He met his future wife, Blondine Gipson, shortly after his enlistment.
Bridges was a faithful member of Mount Olivet Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. Always surrounding himself with family to keep a strong connection.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Norma Jean Baxter and Arlene Eason, brother-in-law, Eugene Baxter, Sr., and nephew, Eugene Baxter, Jr.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Blondine Henderson of 52 years, seven nephews, Chester Butler, Gary, Jr., Eric, Darrell, Charles, Bridges, and Lewis, two nieces, Norma Jean and Regina, and great, great nieces and nephews, Nurse Sandy at Jersey Shore Post-Acute who took excellent care of Bridges, and a host of family and friends.
