Amy Jean Bluford, 89, of Manchester, NJ passed away on August 19, 2019. She was born in Pelham, GA on June 8, 1930 to Henry and Deanna Baldwin.
She married Walter Bluford in Jacksonville, FL, and from that union had a daughter, Deloris. The couple later relocated to Lakehurst, NJ, then to Manchester, NJ and remained there. She raised her grandchildren, Yolanda Dinkins Jones and Benjamin Dinkins Jr. Everyone knew her as “Grandma Jean”.
Amy was employed at Garden State Rehab for 27 years as a Nurse’s Aide. She attended Community Baptist Church in Manchester, NJ. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by husband, Walter Bluford; daughter, Deloris Jones Dinkins; grandchild, Benjamin Dinkins Jr.; parents, Henry and Deanna Baldwin; 8, sisters; and 2 brothers.
Amy is survived by granddaughter, Yolanda Dinkins Jones (Demarte Franklin); great grandsons, Divine, Quron, Kahlil; great granddaughters, Elicia and Addison; 1 sister, Josephine Dixon; dear special nephew, Nelson Baldwin Sr. and wife, Linda Baldwin; son in law, Benjamin Dinkins Sr; wife of Benjamin Dinkins Jr., Ebony Wynn Dinkins; very special to her heart, Velma Jenkins, Tyquan, Rajuon, and Burnetta; and a host of family and friends. Amy was a very special lady and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
