Zarak "Jo Jo" Joseph Jones, 64, of Neptune, NJ, entered eternal rest on August 10, 2021. His was born on April 30, 1957, at Hackensack Meridian Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, formally John F. Fitkin Memorial Hospital.
Jo Jo was a graduate of Neptune Sr. High School, Neptune, NJ class of 1975, and a starting member of the Scarlet Fliers Football Team. After School Jo Jo worked for Pepsi in Ocean Township, NJ for several years. He then moved on to the State of NJ Marlboro Hospital as a Human Service Technician where he retired in 1998. Jo Jo was also a very sharp dresser always looking nice and loved to cook. He would always lend a helping hand to the young and elderly. He will be truly Missed!
Jo Jo was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Dewey and Florence Butler, uncle, Howard "Hammy" Jones, cousin, John Brown; paternal grandparents, Frank and Lilly Jones, father, Joseph Jones, uncles, John, Frank, James, and Jack Jones, cousin, Linda Jackson (Cissy LiI Linda).
Jo Jo is survived by his mother, Doris Jones of Tinton falls, NJ, brother, Dereck Jones of Neptune, NJ, sisters, Lecia Jones and Gail Owens of Neptune, NJ, his loving special devoted partner of 31 years, Jenifer Mims of Neptune, NJ, cousins, Marvin Jackson of Concord, NC, Marvin Jackson Jr. of Neptune, NJ, Linda Massey of Neptune, NJ, Marlin Jackson of Seattle, WA, Percy Bell of NY, NY, Chris Bell of NY, NY, Diane Clark and family of East Orange, NJ, and baby momma, Vera Wilson of Lake City, SC, nephews, Terrell Willis, Gregory Jones, Daryl Jones, Dereck Luckey, Rachene Council, 1 niece, Lashonda Council all of Neptune, NJ, great nephews, Terrell Canon, US Marine Corp., and Quamire Everett of Barnegat, NJ, great nieces, Ijzhira Council of Jacksonville, FL, Ikeria Council of Freehold, NJ, adopted mother, Ms Rebecca (Essie Mae Williams) and her family of Neptune, NJ, stepsons, James Kenyatta Blue (Taylor) of Boston, MA, Nathaniel Wilson of SC, granddaughter, Amethyst of Boston MA, aunts, Ann Ingram of KY, Annie Graham of Neptune, NJ, Sandra Murphy of Bronx, NY, Beverly Smith of Neptune, NJ, Julia Bray of Tinton Falls, NJ, a special thanks to Penny Stallings of Newark, NJ, and a host of relatives and friends.
