Obituary

William H. Miller, Jr. 70, Jackson, NJ passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.  He was born on November 17, 1944 in Kinston, NC to William and Sarah Miller.

He received his formal education and graduated from Woodington High School, NC , after which he served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge.  William had jobs after the Navy but the latest was obtained as a Digital Computer Engineer for Rockwell International, Inc. before retiring in 2003.  He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Lakewood, NJ serving on the Senior and Missionary Ministries.

He was a person that loved to spend time with family and friends, take vacations, fishing, watching sports (Giants and Knicks fan).  His favorite pastime was cooking an array of different meals, of which he was very good at.  Family loved getting together for the holidays but especially for his cooking.  He was a longtime member of the Prosperity 58 Masonic Lodge where he served many positions but the highest was being a Worshipful Master.  He was also a member of the Shriner's Organization.

He was married to Annie M. Miller and to this union children were born.  Annie preceded him in death in 1991.  Later, William was blessed to be have met and been united with Lona and combined two beautiful families into one.

He was also predeceased by his father, William H. Miller, Sr., mother, Sarah Sheppard Troy; a sister Shirley Johnson and a brother Randolph Miller.

William leaves to cherish wonderful memories to his wife of 19 years, Lona; two brothers, Bryant, Ridgewood, NJ; Troy (Shirley), Rocky Mount, NC; two sisters, Cora Brown (George), Martinsburg, WV and Minister Peggy A. Miller, Paterson, NJ; five children, William (Deborah), Freehold, NJ; Pamela, Lakewood, NJ; Dennis, Asbury Park; Lori, Highland Park, NJ; and Hakim, Toms River, NJ; Ten grandchildren, Za'Kiyah, Janayah, Janee', Tyler, Sean, Elijah, Kiondra, Jada, Taylor and Hakim; Four great grandchildren, A'naya, Ajyana, Qamira and Amina; two godchildren, Isha Ivey and JaVon Miller.  He also leaves to mourn nieces, nephews  and a host of other relatives and friends.

Revelations 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither

shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
