William S. Brown, "Pumpkin" A.K.A. "Brown", 46 of Lakewood, NJ departed this life suddenly on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  He was born in Lakewood, NJ to the late Augustine Crippen and Carl Brown, Sr.

Pumpkin was educated in the Lakewood Public School system.  He was very athletic and played football and basketball.  In 2012 Pumpkin was inducted into Lakewood's Hall of Fame for football.

He worked alongside of his older cousin, Louis Brown, for years as a carpenter.  He enjoyed cooking, his family, watching his beloved Cowboyz and Bullz.  Pumpkin was a very loving, caring, and selfless person.  He always found a way to help everyone.

He was predeceased by his parents, Augustine Crippen and Carl Brown, Sr.; and brothers, James and Carl Brown, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful and lovely wife, Julia Brown; daughters, Shakeema (Michael) Nevius, Shakerra Press, and Shanice Brown; sister, Tonia Brown; nephew, Tyrone Shorter; niece, Shaniqwa Shorter; grandchildren, La'Neah Shade, Ala'yah Stone, Messiah, Ma'Layah, Ma'Laysia Nevius; great niece, Leila Shorter; great nephew, Sy'Air Shorter; sisters and brothers in law; and a host of family and friends.
