Vonda Maria Custis (Bonnie), passed away on February 8, 2019. She was born on December 10,1964 in Onancock, Virginia to Robert Lee and Mary Curtis.
She loved catering to family and friends; and was the hostess with the "mostess". Cooking was her specialty. She enjoyed reading, writing, dancing, karaoke, and shooting billards. Vonda also authored a book for her nephew, Darius Worsley.
Her grandchildren, Latisha, Halle, Tyshon and Custis, were her pride and joy. She loved doing Arts & Crafts with them. She had an open heart and would do anything for anyone; no questions asked. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Vonda was predeceased by parents, Robert L. and Mary Curtis; step-father, Henry James Cephus; sister, Cora Cephus; grandmother, Minnie Crippen; and aunt, Augustine Crippen.
She leaves behind two sons, Tiron Curtis and Rashon Baskerville; four grandchildren, Layla, Halle, Tyshon and Custis; sister, Elizabeth Donaldson; two brothers, James and Terrance Custis; sister-in-law, Michelle Custis; brother-in-law, Chris Worsley; nephew, Darius Worsley; favorite uncles, Stephen and Charles Crippen, Wallace Jr., and Eddie Gene Cephus; aunts, Eula Green and Carol Pixie Cephus; special cousin, Tonya Brown; special friend, Robin Muldrow; second mother to Vonda, Jean Marshall; stepdaughter, Latisha Marshall; two step-sons, John Marshall Jr. and Jayden Whidbee; step-grandson, Julian Palmer; and last but not least, her beloved fiancé, John A. Marshall.
