Vance McKenney Latta, Jr., 82, of Lakewood, NJ passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015.  He was born on March 13, 1933 in Orange County, NC to the late Vance, Sr. and Lizzie (Odell) Latta.

He attended Central High School in Hillsborough, NC.  Vance loved to fish and watch TV.  He worked for the Lakewood Township as a sanitation worker until he retired in 2005.  Vance also loved yard work and he lived his final years with Carrie Jenkins and her husband. He will be dearly missed.

Vance was preceded in death by his late wife, Minnie (Russ) Latta; 2 sisters, Vera Madell Latta Edwards, and Virginia Latta; 1 brother, John Latta; and stepson, Jerry Miller.

Vance is survived by 6 siblings; Charlie Latta (Bessiel) of Cedar Grove, NC, Thelma Latta Terrell of Mebane, NC, Daniel Latta (Margaret) of Cedar Grove, NC, James Latta (Isabell) of Cedar Grove, NC, Lewis Latta (Vivian) of Cedar Grove, NC, Wilbur Latta (Penny) of Burlington, NC; stepchildren, Mattie Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Russ, and Joyce Flecher ; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
