Tyree Eugene
Johnson
Dec 4, 1983 — Oct 5, 2016
Tyree Eugene Johnson, 32, of Jackson, NJ, known by "Ty" and "Poohbear", was born on Sunday, December 4, 1983, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch NJ to Tawana A. Johnson and Lapell E. Moore. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
"Pooh", as his mother affectionately called him, was raised in Neptune, NJ and was extremely popular in the neighborhood. He was very personable and everyone he had come in contact with had adored him. From picking up groceries to mowing a lawn, Tyree was always willing to give a helping hand with no expectation of anything in return.
Tyree had the most electrifying smile, infectious laugh and was a big time jokester. He will surely be missed by all. He was especially close to his mother. It also gave him great pleasure to spend time with his father; they had developed a good relationship in recent months.
After graduating from Neptune High School, Tyree was employed by the Humane Society of Tinton Falls for three years. He was also employed as a Line Tech for Comcast for 11 years.
Tyree's two great loves were his animals (dogs, Dallas, Cabo, Pesos, Emmit, and Chico). They were his family. He had a host of other animals, such as snakes, fish, love birds, geckos, turtles; you name it, and he loved them.
Tyree's other love was sports. He played recreationally a host of sports from baseball, softball, football and basketball. He was a natural ball handler. Tyree loved the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He became a fan of both teams at an early age and remained loyal.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Milton E. Moore; and his maternal grandfather, Wilbur G. Robinson Sr.
Pooh leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving mother, Tawana Johnson; father, Lapell Moore; paternal grandparents, DonJoeann Rucker (Oma) of Neptune, NJ and James Rucker (Opa) of Florida; maternal grandparents, Valencia Miller (Nana) and Christopher Miller (Dad); sister, Erika Moore of Neptune, NJ; brother, Ja'lell Moore of MD; two cousins, Andrea Johnson-Little of GA, and Darren Johnson Jr. of PA (they were raised as siblings); uncles, Vincent and Darren Johnson Sr. of PA, Christopher P. Miller Jr. of TN; aunts, Patricia (AP) Charleston-Johnson of PA, Wednesday Jones, Jaia Marshall, Tanika Moore-Jefferson of NJ, and Janae Rucker of MD; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and too many others to name, but know he loved all of you very much.
