Thelma D. Dorsey, 95, of Neptune, New Jersey peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  She was born on August 28, 1921 in Columbia, South Carolina to Mack and Lillie Dawkins.

Thelma attended School in South Carolina and retired from Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro, New Jersey. She was a faithful member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Asbury Park, New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mack and Lillie Dawkins; beloved sisters, Martha House, Emma Dawkins, Lillie Anglin, Azelee Thompson, and Rose Jetter; and brother, Willie Dawkins.

Thelma leaves to cherish her memory niece, Ora Harris, great nephews, Claude Jones, Leonard Clark, and William Barton; loving god daughter, Kathy Bray; dearest friends, Dorothy Bray, Thelma Davis, Barbara Brooks, Jim Bowers, and Mozelle Harvey; and a host of great great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
