Sylvia L. Sykes-Frazer, 55, departed this life on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Southern Campus in Lakewood, New Jersey. She was born on January 10, 1962 in Lakewood, New Jersey to Sylvester Sykes and Lois White.

Sylvia received her education in the Lakewood, New Jersey school system. She was employed as a Certified Nurse's Aide for the Summit Nursing Home in Lakewood.   Sylvia continued to work as a Nurse's Aide on several cases throughout the community until she was no longer able to perform the work. She attended several churches throughout her life, and became a member of the Sixth Street Baptist Church in November of 2015.

Sylvia is predeceased by her father, Sylvester; and sister, Deborah Sykes.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Lois White; three daughters, LaWanda, LaDonna, and Leiada Frazer; one step daughter, Tyshon Terry; one god daughter, Alexandria Walker; one grandson, Liam Woodard; ex-husband and father of her children, Minister Lenwood Frazer Jr.; three brothers, David Sykes, Sylvester Sykes, and John Gordon; three sisters, Rachel, LaTearia, and Ramona Sykes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and an abundance of friends.

Those we love are never really lost to us; we feel them in so many special ways. Through friends they always cared about and dreams they left behind, in beauty that they added to our days, in words of wisdom we still carry with us, and memories that never will be gone.
