Shirley Ann Morrisey, 59, of Asbury Park, NJ was called to rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 12, 2015.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Gatesville, NC on June 13, 1956 to the late James and Emma Morrisey.

Shirley held various jobs in her lifetime, her last being a stay at home mom/grandmom.  She truly enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.  Shirley was an avid reader especially the Holy Bible.  She was a master at Fill-It-In Puzzles and playing spades.  She was loved by all who knew her, with many referring to her as "Ma".

Shirley was predeceased by her father, James Morrisey; mother, Emma Morrisey; and all but one of her aunts and uncles.

She leaves to cherish her most precious memories two daughters, Shanta and Andrea Patterson of Asbury Park, NJ; two grandchildren, DreZiohn Patterson and Mykylah Latimer of Asbury Park, NJ; one stepson, Arnold Patterson of Asbury Park, NJ; one son-in-law, Michael Latimer; five sisters, Susie Britt and Frances Morrisey of Asbury Park, NJ, Barbara Morrisey and Linda Lyons of Ocean, NJ, and Bernice Morrisey of Virginia; five brothers, James "Q" Morrisey, Jessie Morrisey and Marcus Morrisey of Asbury Park, NJ, Kevin Britt of Texas, and Michael Latimore of New York; one uncle, Curtis Britt of Maryland; 4 sister-in-laws, Sheila Batson of Freehold, NJ, and 3 of Florida; two godsons, Jayquan and Randall; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
