Rev. Rufus C. Goodman, 93, of Neptune, NJ passed away on Fri, Jan 16, 2015.  He was born in Cape Charles, VA on Jan 23, 1921 to the late Severn and Annie Goodman.

He served as pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for 49 years until his retirement in 2010.  He was very active in the community and served in many capacities, NAACP, Seacoast Missionary Assoc., Mayor's Advisory Council, and many other associations.

He is survived by his 3 children, Benjamin Goodman of California, Ruth Bagwell and George Goodman of Neptune, NJ; and a host of grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing will be 11 am Fri, Jan 23 until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm at Shiloh Community Fellowship Church, 142 Dewitt Ave, Asbury Park.   Interment will follow the service at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.  James H. Hunt Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements.
