It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Chiles, 59, of Asbury Park, New Jersey. Patrick was born on January 22, 1962 to Annette (White) Chiles and the late Arthur Chiles, in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Our family moved to New Jersey in 1963 when Patrick was around four years old. According to family Patrick has always been a spiritual person, and by the time he turned 16 years old he had accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord. He came to serve Christ at Second Baptist Church, Asbury Park, NJ under the auspice of the late Reverend Verner R. Mathews. His Favorite Scriptures were Psalm 91 and Psalm 27.

Patrick graduated from Asbury Park High School in 1980, then went on to Brookdale Community College and was employed by Earle's Naval Weapons Station his senior year.

Patrick had a love for cars and working on them. He also worked for Nissan detailer before he went to Tractor Trailer School in Linden, NJ. He was employed by Lowy's Moving Company before he became ill in August 2014.

As we reflect, we remember Patrick being a loving, gentle, kind and giving person always willing to help family, friends, and even residents in the nursing home at Shore Meadows.  He was always there for his mom and two sisters, "No Matter What"!

Patrick is survived by his mother, Annette (White) Chiles of Asbury Park, NJ, two sisters, Joyce (Chiles) Brandon (James) of Belmar, NJ, and Tracey Chiles of Asbury Park, NJ, aunt, Carolyn Tarver of Stone Mountain, GA, two cousins raised with him, Tony Marshall, NY, and Lonnie O'Bryant, WI, special family members, Chris Booker, Roy L. Baxter, and Terrence J. Beaty (served as Family Aide) to Patrick, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and to our Greenwood, South Carolina family, we thank and love you for your show of love and support!
