Mollie E. Carter, 75 of Toms River, NJ entered heaven's gates peacefully at home on July 3, 2018. She was born on July 9, 1942 in Farmville, Virginia.
Mollie attended Virginia public school systems. She worked a number of years in the hospital system doing housekeeping, until she retired and became a homemaker with her daughter Shelley Benson.
Mollie spent her younger years enjoying fishing, gardening, and maintaining a huge home/farm in Freehold, NJ. She enjoyed reading her bible daily. She was often heard quoting her favorite scripture, Psalms 23. Mollie enjoyed spending time with her family and eating the best of foods.
She was a longtime member of the Asbury Park Deliverance Center, under the leadership of the late Apostle Sneed. She later moved to Ocean County and become a member of New Destiny Worship Center under the leadership of Apostle Ramos & Bishop Annette Ramos. Mollie later called Refuge House of Prayer home under the leadership of Pastors Bishop Daniel E. Wilson Sr. & First Lady Gwendolyn L. Wilson of Toms River, NJ.
She was predeceased by her mother, Judy Carter; brother, Joe Carter; and sister, Ann Turner.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories her daughter, Shelley Benson-McCracken and husband, Anthony McCracken, of Toms River, NJ ; five grandchildren, Latoya and husband, Kirk McAnuff, of Toms River NJ , Natasha Carter of Toms River NJ , Nicole Carter and fiancé, Shon McNeil, of Lakewood, NJ , Edward and Xavier Benson of Toms River , NJ; lifelong friend, Howard Stewart, of Pennsylvania, sisters, Patricia Carter of California, and Cora Carter of Eatontown , NJ; and a host of great grandchildren, cousins , nieces , nephews and friends .
Mollie will forever be in our hearts.
