Michael M. Jones, 67, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, on August 19, 2016. He was born on April 29, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

He grew up in Neptune Township where he graduated from Neptune Senior High School.  Michael attended Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina and served in the United States Army.  He was a skilled interior and exterior house painter by trade, serving as a laborer to many people from the shores of New Jersey to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Palmer.  He is survived by his son, Jamar Jones; two grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Palmer-Becker (Roger) from Stone Mountain, GA, and Fatima Palmer from New Jersey; a fatherly Uncle, Deacon Willie L. Jones (Alice); a caring cousin, Derrick "Buckey" Jones; two nephews; along with a host of loving cousins and friends.
