Mermin LeRoy Ruffin, affectionately called "Yuki", passed away on June 15, 2020 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on October 17, 1971 in Fitkin Hospital, Neptune, NJ to Mermin Robinson and Brenda Ruffin.

He was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore and attended the Asbury Park School System, Asbury Park, NJ. Mermin was well known for working alongside of his mother during the holiday seasons at the local Christmas Stores. His most recent employment was at the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ.

Mermin had a smile that would light up a room. His favorite past time was spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing spades, going to the movies, and making people laugh. This was his way of always trying to make sure everyone around him was good. Mermin had a heart of gold and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his loving mother, Brenda Ruffin; maternal and paternal grandparents; 1 uncle, Marshall Ruffin; and 3 aunts, Delores Ruffin, Anita Ruffin, and Gloria Foster.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his love, Anna Davis of Toms River, NJ; children, Tangenija Stafford of Brick, NJ, Nakee and Nyja Ruffin of Asbury Park, NJ, Julez Delaney of Red Bank, NJ, Kal-el Gary of Keyport, NJ, and Jasoni Ruffin of Neptune, NJ; grandchildren, Ashland Lavarin, and Layla Davis; bonus squad, Nakayla, Nasir, Ah'moni, and Jaylen; father, Mermin Robinson; stepmother, Francine; dad, Ronald Williams; 2 brothers, Advil Robinson, and Willie Jamison Jr.; 3 sisters, Felicia Flowers, Sadetria and Sherrita Robinson; 1 uncle, Leroy Ruffin (Josette); 2 loving aunts, Marsha Jamison­King, and Caroline Hardwick; best friends, Michael Latimer, Kareem Davis, and John Brown; and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
