Louve Woods Johnson, 75, of Asbury Park, NJ was born in Jones County, Georgia on January 21, 1945 to Mose Wood, Sr. and Lucille Strong-Wood. She transitioned peacefully to a new life on June 17, 2020, while holding her daughter's hand at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

Louve graduated from Maggie Califf High School in Gray, GA in 1964.  She left home immediately after her graduation for New Jersey, where she resided for nearly 60 years. She was a free-spirit and was loved by all that knew her.

She was employed at Electronic Measurements, Tinton Falls, NJ, in 1981 and retired in 2006. She enjoyed going to Monmouth Park Raceway in Oceanport, NJ, loved to party and have fun. Louve especially looked forward to her daily talks with her big sis/phone buddy, Iona.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mose Wood, Sr. and Lucille Strong-Wood; husband, Milton; siblings, Ralph, Lewis, Mary and Rosie.

She is survived by her daughter, Greta M. Woods (Connie); grandson, Sharif J. Woods, Macon, GA; siblings, Iona Sims (Phillip), Atlanta, GA, Lillie M. Cherry, Louise W. Odoms (Tracie), Brenda Marsh (Jones), Sarah Thurman (James), and Jimmy Lee Thurman, all of Gray, GA, Mose Jr. (Mary), Neptune, NJ; one aunt, Lizzie Wood, TN; bonus siblings, Shirley A, Gerald, Derrick Williams, and Melvin Johnson; bonus grandchildren, SaayOnna, Saniyah and Majaylah Woods, Damian and Antonio Harvey; stepsons, Shannon Be-Original and James Jeb Stevens; goddaughter, Queen Greene; special friends, Florence Butler-Moore, NC, Christine Solomon, Ml, Josephine Broadus, GA, Regina Jones, NJ, Vernell Hartwell, NJ, Eleanor Alston, NJ, Janet Stokes, NJ, Sandra Randolph, NJ; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
