Louise Cook Crudup, 88, of Neptune, NJ passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey.  She was born on October 27, 1927 in North Carolina to Norman and Pattie Cook.

At the age of 16, Louise moved from her parents' home in the Neptune area to New York where she spent the majority of her adult years.  While living throughout New York, she worked in many industries.  One of the noted positions she held was as a hand and clothing model.  She was also an assistant in a home for girls, and a foster mother to hundreds of children.  These occupations enabled her to have a positive impact on the lives of those in her care. Upon her retirement, Louise left New York that she loved so much, and returned to Neptune, NJ where she worked as a home health aide.

She was predeceased by her son, Larry Cook;  father, Norman Cook; mother, Pattie Mangum Cook; brothers, Adee and Stanley Cook; four sisters, Katherine Cook, Betty Cook, Marjorie Foy, and Laura Cook.

She leaves to celebrate her life brother, Chester Cook of Neptune, NJ; grandson, Larry Brockman of Mt. Vernon, NY; the many children that she loved and cared for, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
