Lillian M. Ashton, 87, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Neptune Rehabilitation and Care Center, Neptune City, New Jersey.  She was born on October 10, 1927 in Fluvanna County, Virginia to Obie Diles and Beatrice Johnson.

Lillian married Kellogg B. Ashton on March 5, 1960.  She was employed as a garment and apparel sewing machine operator.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, trips to Atlantic City, and attending church.

She is survived by her husband, Kellogg Ashton of Neptune City, NJ; daughter, Karen Ashton of Old Hickory, TN; sister-in-law,  Lenora Coy; nephews, Robert Ashton, and Wayne Wyatt; nieces, Brenda Ashton-Ingram of OH, Barbra Miles, Wendy Galloway, Linda Simpson of NJ; grandsons, Charles Johnson IV of PA, and Jamie Johnson of NJ; and three great grandchildren.
