Obituary

Lewis Clifton Terry Sr. (affectionately known as Louie and Terry), 70, of Neptune, NJ, passed away on March 31, 2017.  He was born on October 20, 1946 in Neptune, NJ to George and Margaret Peco Terry.

Louie attended the Neptune Township school system and Job Corps in Ohio, where he received a degree as a Black Seal Boiler Operator. He worked for the New Jersey State Parkway Department and the City of Asbury Park, NJ.

He was employed with Sonetronics, West Belmar, NJ as a supervisor, and retired at the age of 70.  Louie was an avid history, political and science reader. He loved to dance, sing, draw and listen to Motown music. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and DVD's of old movie classics. His favorite sport teams were the Jets and Mets. Louie had a great sense of humor and he loved to laugh and tell funny stories. We will truly miss him.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Peco Terry; and one brother, Marvin Terry Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Terry of Lakewood, NJ; sons, Lewis Terry Jr. (Michele Marie) of Las Vegas NV, Wallace Johnson (Angie) of Shipman, VA, Brandon Terry (Lanece) of Asbury Park, NJ, Lewis Davis, of Henderson, NC, Clifton Terry, of Greensboro, SC,  and Brian Love of Asbury Park, NJ; daughters, Minister Tonya Ball, of Neptune NJ, Nikita Bobo, of Trenton, NJ, Tiara McGee (Anthony) of Greensboro, SC, and Shayla Love, of Asbury Park, NJ;  six brothers, George Terry of Leyte, PHL, Thomas Terry of Toms River, NJ, Wayne Terry of Neptune, NJ, David Terry (Renee) of Neptune, NJ, Michael Terry (Mona) of Neptune, NJ, and George Terry Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sisters, Carolyn Hobson (Lendbergh Sr) of Neptune, NJ, and Sharon Terry (Tony) of Neptune, NJ; many grand and great-grandchildren; a very dear and loyal companion, Connie Love; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is very grateful to all those who offered their condolences and prayers. We love and thank you for your sincere concern for us during our time of grief, as it has helped to make our sorrow more bearable.
