Leea Paul Hicks, 74, of Long Branch, NJ passed away September 9, 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA.  He was born on May 20, 1945 in Neptune, NJ to the late Gwendolyn and Waverly Hicks, Sr.

Leea was a proud graduate of Neptune Sr. High (NHS), Neptune, NJ class of 1963.  While at NHS he ran cross country track.  His favorite past times were watching sports and news-based television.  During his prime years, you often found him on the tennis and basketball courts.

He enjoyed dancing, taking care of his plants and spending time with his family. In Neptune and Asbury Park, NJ everyone knew him as the "Insurance Man", when he worked for Progressive Life Insurance in his earlier years.  He was also employed at Sylvania Lighting Products.  His last place of employment was J & D Transportation where he was a driver.

Leea is predeceased by his wife, Rosala Hicks; two brothers, Waverly Jr. and Thomas Hicks; and one sister, Vida Henry.  His is survived by his children, Kheven "Kipper" Hicks, Trenton, NJ, Donyale Hicks, Upper Marlboro, MD, Leah Taylor, Neptune, NJ, Kellie Hicks, Matawan NJ, and James Hicks and his wife, Bianca, of Olympia, WA; four grandchildren; siblings, Josephine Brown, Decatur, GA, James Hicks, Asbury Park, NJ and Eugene Hicks, Asbury Park, NJ; and a host of relatives and friends.
