Katherina T. Gonzalez, 90, of Fair Haven, New Jersey passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018.  Kaye was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 2, 1928 to the late Robert and Ethel Turner.

Her family migrated to the Jersey Shore area.  Katherina was educated in the Neptune Township and Asbury Park school systems.  She graduated from Asbury Park High School.  She then attended Long Branch Junior College (now known as Monmouth University).

Katherina graduated from Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN), Jersey City State College with a BA in Nursing and Teaching (K -12 grades), and later attended a medical school in New York City while working at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, New Jersey for 25 years as a surgical nurse.  Kaye also taught Head Start for Early Childhood Development in the Monmouth County area for 23 years until she retired.

She was a member of the Shrewsbury Chorale for 25 years until she retired.

Katherina is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Gonzalez; parents, Robert and Ethel Turner; brother, Henry Turner; and two sisters, Loretta Turner and Monica Fairfax.

She leaves to mourn her death a brother, Robert Turner of Maryland; two sisters, Rosalie Jackson and Alice Roberts, both of Red Bank, New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and other relatives.
