Janet Wharton, 60, of Asbury Park, NJ gained her wings on January 9, 2018.  She was born on March 19, 1957 to the late Carol Butler and William Clark.

Janet married the love of her life, Chester Wharton, on April 7, 1979.  Janet was a caregiver to her nieces and nephews as well as the community.  She would never turn a child away.  She was a longtime member of Christian Cathedral Ministries, Asbury Park, NJ.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Chester Wharton from Accomac,Virginia; mother, Carol Butler; father, William Clark; son, Tyrelle Wharton; nephew, Prize Johnson; and aunt, Beverly Massie.

Janet leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Kyle Butler; son, Wilbur (Star) Ford; four sisters, Sharon and Torie Butler, Nicole Henderson (Eric) and Marnina Martin; three brothers, Jaszhark Allah (Delores), I-Born Clark and William Clark, Jr. (Lorretta); four grandchildren, Tyrelle, Jr., Shakhyi and Shaniayla Ford; niece/granddaughter, Latoria Butler; three aunts, Florence Moore, Karen Smerdon and Gail Bonner; three godchildren, Theresa Butler and Marquan Clark, Aretha Morris; her best buddy, Rosemarie Clayton; four special nieces, Ny'Airah Butler, Jah'Zai Rogers, Hadia Crooms and I-Jenay Henderson; her favorite niece, Rhashawna Butler; companion, Tyshawn Evans; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.  In her eyes her nephews could do no wrong.  She loved them dearly, they will miss her.
