Howard Faulk, 85, of Lakewood, New Jersey passed away in Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus on June 28, 2016. He was born on April 30, 1931 in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Charlie and Nina McKinley-Faulk.
Howard graduated from Hilly Branch High School in Lumberton, North Carolina in 1949. Immediately after his graduation he enrolled in the United States Army and served in the Korean War (1950 – 1954).
He returned to Lumberton N.C. after the war, and later re-established himself in New York City. He remained a resident there for 40 years before relocating to Lakewood, New Jersey in the late 1990's.
Howard became a member of Future Glory of Zion Church in Lakewood, New Jersey. He remained a faithful and active member until his passing.
Howard was predeceased by his first wife, Maggie Bowens-Faulk; and his second wife, Annie Jewel Haynes-Faulk.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Douglas Faulk, Elton Faulk and Steven L. Faulk; three daughters, Charon Faulk, Renee Appolon, and Angela B. Faulk; fourteen grandsons, six granddaughters; a host of great grandchildren; two sisters, Zelma Faulk-Mason of Woodside Queens, New York, and Silvia Faulk-Carter of Lumberton, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, and his beautiful church family and friends.
