Herbert Bellamy, 82, of Lakewood, New Jersey transitioned from this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus of Lakewood, New Jersey. He was born on August 26, 1933 in Horry, South Carolina to the Late Roosevelt and Florence "Flossie" Bellamy.

He was employed by Saker ShopRite as a floor sander, security guard, and worked in the maintenance department for over 40 years. He retired in 2011.

He was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of Our Lord of the Apostolic Faith Inc. for over 45 years, under the leadership of the late Overseer Dr. C. F. (Jones) Jackson. She appointed him as Chairman of the Deacons Board, usher, and superintendent of all Sunday Schools. After the death of Dr. C. F. (Jones) Jackson, Servant Dr. A. C. White became pastor of the Emmanuel Church, whom he loved dearly.

In 1969, he married Julian Chestnut and remained wedded for 46 years. He was a teacher to some, gentle and kind to everyone, and a true man of Faith.

He was predeceased by his six siblings, Rosa, Esther, Mary, Clarence, James, and CJ.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Julian Bellamy; three daughters, Lyndora Chester, Rosa Bellamy, and Josephine Bellamy; three sons, Charles Bellamy, Clyde Bellamy, and James Bellamy; beloved granddaughters, Mesha Bellamy, Elisha Bellamy, and Amaiya Bellamy; the Emmanuel Church Family;  and many more grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He will be truly missed.
