Gloria Martin, 72, of Neptune, New Jersey passed away on January 29, 2018.  She was born in Neptune, New Jersey on October 24, 1945 to Lester Banks and Leatha Sheard.  Gloria lived a majority of her life at the Jersey Shore.

A graduate of Neptune High School, Gloria attended Brookdale Community College, where she pursued a degree in nursing.  She later obtained a certificate as a Medical Office Specialist from Harrison Career Institute.  Her occupation ranged from manager of a dry cleaner, a patient care associate, and a caregiver for the disabled.

She was also employed at Circus Cleaners, Shore Rehabilitation Institute, and Riverview Medical Center, to name a few.  Her last place of employment was with Bamberg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board in South Carolina.

Gloria was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey, where she was a missionary for several years.  She was devoted to her family and friends, and was always there to offer love and encouragement.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Willa Dean White and Dorothy Sheard; and daughter, Tracy Martin.  She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Martin and Tyrell Martin; stepson, Tyrone Banks; son-in-law and daughter, Ronald and Valerie Owens; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister in law, Lisa Ramsey; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving family members and friends.
