Obituary

Wallace "Frank" Pugh was born January 18, 1951, in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Evelyn Pugh and Wallace Franklin Booth. He departed life at JSUMC due to cardiac arrest. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, as his sister, Monica Pugh, was praying and holding his hand until the very end.

Frank was raised and educated in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In the 1980's He moved to Bronx, New York to live with his devoted, predeceased sister, Linda Montgomery, and his nephew, Joseph Pugh.

Frank worked at Fort Monmouth and Bronx College as a chef for many years. He moved to New Jersey in March 2018 to live with his sister, Monica Pugh, and nephew, Mateek Pugh. Frank had a stroke on August 28, 2018, which left him with disabilities that required 24-hour care. He had his own private nurse, Monica Pugh, and devoted nephew/caregiver, Mateek Pugh. He also had help and support from family and Harlen Hill.

Frank was the oldest of eight siblings. He enjoyed cooking for his family and others. He loved to bake cakes from scratch, his favorite was lemon coconut cake. Frank's main pride was his praying, loving, caring and devoted predeceased mother, Evelyn Pugh Davis. He would travel through rain, sleet, and snow to visit her. Frank always stated, "I'm a traveling man without a car".  He would catch a ride, the bus, train, bike or walk to reach his destinations. If you knew Frank, you couldn't help but love him and his cooking.

Frank was predeceased by his loving, devoted mother, Evelyn Pugh Davis, and father, Wallace Franklin Booth; brothers, Ronnie Pugh, and Tony Pugh; devoted sister, Linda Montgomery; aunts, Naomi Burton, and Juanita Pugh; uncles, William Pugh, John Pugh, and James Pugh.

He leaves to mourn his aunt, Ruth Landry of Fayetteville, North Carolina; brother, Michael Pugh of Ocean Township; sisters, Beverly Johnson of Ocean Township, Teresa Pugh Alston of Neptune Township, and his devoted sister, Monica Pugh of Neptune Township, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. A special thanks to his devoted sister, Monica Pugh, nephew, Mateek Pugh, niece, Zimya Pugh, and the family for caring and loving Frank!
