Obituary

Evelyn Daye, 69, of Richmond, VA passed away on August 5, 2019.  She was born on November 12, 1949 to the late Emma L. Crawford (Coleman) and the late Willie J. Crawford, Sr., in Montgomery, Alabama.

Everyone who knew Evelyn, knew how deep rooted she was in her faith.  They knew how contagious her laugh could be, and how strong her spirit of love had been exhibited in all of our lives.

She enjoyed helping and healing others through her job as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and also as a member of the ITM More Than Conquerors Intl. Tabernacle church, Lakewood, NJ. Evelyn was a woman of faith who loved her church.  She constantly helped others with prayer, and with reading scripture for those in need.  We will always remember how great she prepared food, enjoyed family time by looking forward to every family reunion, and was always just a call away with a prayer.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Daye, Sr. She is survived by her children, Donald V. Daye (NJ), Ronald A. Daye (VA), and Antoinette M. Daye (VA); stepchildren, Robert L. Daye Jr.(Bobby), Crystal Robinson, Natalie Wilson, (Late) Ronnie Williams; grandchildren, Khalil Robert Brown, Jaida Cymoine Williams, Kaelyn Chanel Jones, and Aiden Delano Daye; two great grandchildren, Demarius Williams and London Brown; siblings, Willie J. Crawford, Jr. (OK), Terrence Crawford (AL), Betty Merriweather (NJ), Sylvester Crawford (GA), and Sharon Small (GA); uncle, Sammy Coleman of Delaware; aunt, Lula Simmons of Atlanta Georgia; she will truly be loved and missed by her honorary children, stepchildren and grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and acquaintances from New Jersey to Alabama, and from every state in between.

Let us continue to exhibit her strength and love for one another from this day forward.
