Eula Green, 78, of Asbury Park, NJ transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was born on April 28, 1942 in Oglethorpe, GA to the late Willie and Mazie Cephus.
Eula Green was educated in the public school system of Macon County, GA. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age while attending Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church in Oglethorpe, GA.
Eula Green relocated to Asbury Park, NJ in 1965, where she was introduced to the then Mr. Cyrus Green, they were married in 1975. Two children were born to this union.
Eula Green joined Friendship Baptist Church, Asbury Park, NJ in 1979. She participated in Shepherds Care Ministries, Women's Ministry events, and Cook and Bake Sale Fundraisers for the Church. She was considered the Mother of the Church, spearheaded grief Counseling for members that endured the loss of a child, and Coordinator of any celebration of Church members. She was best described as a Proverbs 31 woman.
Eula Green loved God, her family and speaking to her friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was affectionately called "Sista" by her entire family. She was known at Church for the head‐turning suits and her beautifully adorned hat collection. Her family was priority and that was demonstrated in many ways. This priority was apparent in her firm and unwavering selflessness and sacrifice in the way she cared for her immediate family members and extended family. She would talk on the phone for hours to her closest family and friends and as much as she loved their conversation; all that knew her can vouch for her intense love of watching Wrestling.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Mazie Cephus, husband, Rev. Cyrus Green, son, Darryl Bradley, two brothers, James Cephus and Fredrick Cephus, sister, Cora Love, and son‐in law, Darin Bacote.
