Detriona Deshawn Young, affectionately known as DeeDee, received her angel wings on July 21, 2022. She was born at 9:35 pm December 25,1995 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, to Detrece D. Young and John P. Vilburn.

Detriona attended Academy Charter High School and graduated in 2014. She continued her education at Bloomfield College for four years. She was an employee of AMIB since 2019 as a Residential Specialist.

Detriona was a caring and loving soul known for her kindness and beautiful smile that lit the room with her presence.

She is predeceased by her father's parents. Detriona leaves to mourn her death, her mother, Detrece D. Young, father, John V. Peterson, daughter, Sa'Mye A. Brown, brother, Deon Moye, grandparents, Geraldine and Bobby McCain, goddaughter, Ariane Beasley, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
