Chester Arthur Cook, 84, of Neptune, NJ passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home, 1146 Heck Ave, Neptune, NJ.  He was born on July 25, 1932 in North Carolina to the late Norman and Pattie Cook.

Chester spent most of his childhood in North Carolina, however he finished his education in New Jersey.  After he graduated from high school he then joined the Army where he became one of the head cooks for many years.

When he left the service he moved to New York, where he met a special woman, Willia Buie and raised a family.  They lived in New York for several years and he was employed in various jobs.  They then moved to North Carolina for a few years then to Maryland.  Regardless of where they relocated to he always held down a job and supported his family.

He was predeceased by his son, Chester Arthur Cook, Jr.; father,  Norman Cook; mother, Pattie Mangum Cook; two brothers, Adee and Stanley Cook; five sisters, Katherine, Betty, Marjorie, Laura Cook and Louise Cook Crudup.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted love, Willia Buie of Hamlet, NC; three sons, Lorzeno Buie (Trina) of Orlando, FL; Jerry Buie (Janet) of Jonesboro, GA; Roland Buie of Hamlet, NC; two daughters, Deborah Richardson (Robert) and Sarah Gibson of Hamlet, NC ; a host of grands, great grands, great great grands, nieces, nephews, friends and three very dear friends, Ms. Tomecia and Imesha Harris, and Minister Gloria Brown.
