Chanel Bernice
Pearsall
May 25, 1978 — May 9, 2021
Asbury Park
Chanel Bernice Pearsall, 42, of Neptune, NJ peacefully gained her wings on May 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born on May 25, 1978 in Neptune, NJ.
Chanel received her education through Lakewood, NJ school system. She later attended Job Corp in Albany, NY where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate. Chanel spread her love to all her patients as a CNA for twenty years. She treated her patients as if they were her family members. She was an employee of Majestic Rehabilitation Center for over 8 years. Chanel was the epitome of a workaholic.
She was a longtime member of Lakewood Church of God since early childhood. She served on the usher board and sung in the choir. She gave her life to Christ as a teenager and she constantly reminded us that no matter what, she knew that God was her provider and protector.
Chanel "The Diva" was known for loving every child that she met and claiming them all as her babies. Family is what she held dear to her heart, especially on her birthday when she would have a celebration just to be with family. She also enjoyed shopping at Bath & Body Works, listening to music, especially Keisha Cole, and hanging with her Birthday Crew.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Pearsall, and special aunt, Mary Peten, who assisted in rearing her. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Carolyn Ann Pearsall, niece, Shavonna Pearsall, nephew, Javon Pearsall all of Asbury Park, her own personal black Barbie, Imeerah Peten, fur baby, Nico Pearsall, favorite cousins, Tonya Jones (Chris) and Tracey Mann (Anthony), godchildren, Devin Delanie, Shidearra Jones, Mikayla McSulla, Ramonia Shuler, and Ti'meerah Peten, godmother, Dorthea Jones, favorite uncle, William Ethridge, and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends. Special thanks and gratitude to her personal nurse, Clara Peten.
