Castoria Gainey, 83, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on January 1, 2019 at Leisure Chateau Care Center, Lakewood, NJ.  She was born in Jacob City, Florida (Cottondale) to Taft and Almeater Green.

She attended St. Paul High school in Campbellton, Florida. Castoria worked at Worthington Biochemical Corporation, Lakewood, NJ for 15 years as an engineer.  She later went to work at Leisure Chateau for 7 years to pursue her nursing career.

Castoria was a sweet woman who believed family was everything. She made people laugh and had a bright spirit.  Castoria will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is predeceased by her two sons, Anthony and Alphonso L. Gainey; and grandson, Alphonso Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Henry L Gainey Sr; sons, Henry L. Gainey (Francine) of Lakewood, NJ, Arnold L. Gainey (Cookie) of Jersey City, NJ, and Michael T. Gainey (Nicole) of Brick Township, NJ; daughter, Wanetta Gainey; two special daughters, Missy and Genita; brothers, Howard Green and Arinet L.Green; sister, Verdell Green; special sister, Betty; grandchildren, Tasharnda Gainey, Danika Dean, Rahmel Gainey, Henry L Gainey III, Maliki Gainey, Micheala Gainey, and Jakeela Hunter; and a host of great grandchildren, cousins, neices and nephews.
