Beverly T. Massie "Teany", 73, of Asbury Park, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey.

She was born on May 18, 1943 in Neptune to John and Jennie Butler.  She married Robert Massie and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then returned to New Jersey in 1978.

Beverly was employed as a Senior Youth Worker for Arthur Brisbane Child Treatment Center for 10 years.  She was also a member of St. Peter Claver Church in Asbury Park.

Beverly enjoyed sewing, ceramics, bingo, pokeno, spades, country music, watching British sitcoms, and cooking programs.  Cooking and baking came naturally to her.  She loved making potato salad trifle, stuffed cabbage, chicken with homemade BBQ sauce, thousand island dressing, and cake with lemon sauce.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Buddy; sister, Carol; and daughter, Cheryl.

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin, MO, and Rhonda, NJ; three sons, Brian, VA, Bruce, PA, and Douglas, GA; three sisters, Florence and Gail, NC, Karen, CA; aunt, Lydia, NJ; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 godchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
