Bambi Lynne Worthy, 61, affectionately known as Lynee and Bam-A-Lam, was born on July 6, 1960 in Lakewood, NJ to Clarence M. Worthy, Sr. and Barbra Ann Worthy.

She received her education in the Lakewood school system.  Bambi had dedicated more than sixteen years of her life as an Assistant Manager of the Lakewood Board of Education Clifton Avenue School Feeding Program.  It was there that she received a certificate for serving more than 16 years without missing a day of work.

Bambi was also a lifelong member of the Dynamic Royalettes Drill Team and the Magnificent Royal Counts founded by her mother in 1967. She eventually started her own Drill Team in 2019 where she led the youth in learning leadership skills, self-respect and resilience.

Bambi was well known for taking good care of everyone in and out of her community and will be tremendously missed by many. She was an advocate for those without a permanent address, for the incarcerated and the less fortunate. She mentored the young and the mature and was always first in line to serve others. The pride she took in giving back was unparalleled.

Bambi was predeceased by her father, Clarence Mathis Worthy, Sr., and her son, Ryshawn Tyleek Dorsey. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her mother, Barbra Ann Worthy of Lakewood, New Jersey, son, Hyron Tee Dorsey of Lakewood, New Jersey, daughter, Rykeesiha Shadawn Dorsey of Brick, New Jersey, three brothers, Reginald Lee Worthy of Lakewood, New Jersey, Clarence Mathis Worthy, Jr. (Yolanda) of East Windsor, New Jersey, Maurice Evans of Norfolk, Viginia, one sister, Bridget Delande (Sherwin) of Jackson, New Jersey, two grandsons, DePreem Powell of Lakewood, New Jersey, and Ryshawn Barnes of Mount Holly, New Jersey, one granddaughter, Jakira Yaneeka Woodard of Brick, New Jersey, three aunts, Constance Morgan (James) of Alexandria, Virginia, Minnie L. Smith of Willingboro, New Jersey, and Grace Fenn of Lakewood, New Jersey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bambi was A lifelong Lakewoodian who exemplified the true meaning of "Lakewood Pioneers", always preparing the way for others to follow.
